První česká knižní monografie hudebního skladatele doby baroka Jana Dismase Zelenky, jež chce přispět k větší znalosti Zelenkovy tvorby i umělecké biografie v hudební i širší veřejnosti. Přináší také nové poznatky a charakteristiky děl dosud v literatuře podrobněji nerozbíraných; k četným tvrzením předchozích autorů se staví kriticky, některé prameny čte jinak, než oni. Ale nejen to.
